I'm a passenger today and am amazed that my Vodafone MiFi has remained connected all the way into Wales from south Northamptonshire.

Thanks to my PowerFilm solar panel from @Select_Solar it's still also close to fully charged.

I know I could just plug it in to the car.. but that's less fun. It's a sunny day so why not harvest the sun.

Both mobile wifi devices have been on constantly for 9 hours but have no devices connected to them.

I'm not sure what this test proves but interestingly the Vodafone with it's 3.7v 1400mAh battery is slightly smaller than the Three 3.7v 1500mAh and yet is still showing two thirds battery capacity to the Three device which is at a quarter & nearly empty.

UPDATE:

The Three device died after about 11 hours and the vodafone is still going strong (Around 2/3 battery capacity) at over 12 hours later. Remember.. both devices were switched on with no load or devices attached.

My first speed test with the Vodafone mobile wireless hotspot. So far I will say its the simplest to use.

This came through the post today. Looks pretty sexy. Has a great little screen and a solid looking sliding switch. I'll have a play and report back.
